DIESEL ENGINE:

Greaves Model GPWII-PIV-30 M, 4 stroke Liquid cooled developing 74.1 BHP @ 1500 rpm as per ISO 3046/BS 5514. The engine is prime rated with 10% overload capability for every 1 hour in any 12 hours of operation.

COOLING SYSTEM:

·      Coolant Circulation Pump for Jacket water

·      Coolant thermostat for Jacket water cooling System

·      Tropicalized Radiator with fan, Fan guard and fan belts

 

ALTERNATOR:

 

LS/Meccaltee make alternator of 30 KVA at 0.8 power factor lagging, 415V, 3 phase and 4 wire system at 1500 RPM.

 

The alternator shall be Brush-less type, self-excited & self- regulated through an AVR.

 

The alternator shall be suitable for tropical climate and generally confirm to BS:2613 / IS: 4722 & have following features.

 

+ 1 % voltage regulation (max) in static conditions.

 

IP23 protection with Class ‘H’ insulation and Temperature rise limited to Class “H” insulation limits.
